Psalm 1

1Blessed is the man

who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,

nor stands in the way of sinners,

nor sits in the seat of scoffers;

2but his delight is in the law of the Lord,

and on his law he meditates day and night.

3He is like a tree

planted by streams of water

that yields its fruit in its season,

and its leaf does not wither.

In all that he does, he prospers.

4The wicked are not so,

but are like chaff that the wind drives away.

5Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,

nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;

6for the Lord knows the way of the righteous,

but the way of the wicked will perish.

Longing for God’s House

A psalm of the sons of Korah.

1How lovely is Your dwelling place,

Lord of Hosts.

2I long and yearn

for the courts of the Lord;

my heart and flesh cry out for the living God.

3Even a sparrow finds a home,

and a swallow, a nest for herself

where she places her young —

near Your altars, Lord of Hosts,

my King and my God.

4How happy are those who reside in Your house,

who praise You continually. Selah

5Happy are the people whose strength is in You,

whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.

6As they pass through the Valley of Baca,

they make it a source of spring water;

even the autumn rain will cover it with blessings.

7They go from strength to strength;

each appears before God in Zion.

8Lord God of Hosts, hear my prayer;

listen, God of Jacob. Selah

9Consider our shield, God;

look on the face of Your anointed one.

10Better a day in Your courts

than a thousand anywhere else.

I would rather be at the door of the house of my God

than to live in the tents of wicked people.

11For the Lord God is a sun and shield.

The Lord gives grace and glory;

He does not withhold the good

from those who live with integrity.

12Happy is the person who trusts in You,

Lord of Hosts!

Psalm 84

Jehoshaphat's Prayer: 2 Chronicles 20

10“But now here are men from Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, whose territory you would not allow Israel to invade when they came from Egypt; so they turned away from them and did not destroy them. 11See how they are repaying us by coming to drive us out of the possession you gave us as an inheritance. 12Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”

13All the men of Judah, with their wives and children and little ones, stood there before the Lord.

14Then the Spirit of the Lordcame on Jahaziel son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite and descendant of Asaph, as he stood in the assembly.

15He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel. 17You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’ ”

18Jehoshaphat bowed down with his face to the ground, and all the people of Judah and Jerusalem fell down in worship before the Lord. 19Then some Levites from the Kohathites and Korahites stood up and praised the Lord, the God of Israel, with a very loud voice.

20Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful.” 21After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying:

“Give thanks to the Lord,

for his love endures forever.”

22As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.23The Ammonites and Moabites rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another.

24When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked toward the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no one had escaped. 25So Jehoshaphat and his men went to carry off their plunder, and they found among them a great amount of equipment and clothing and also articles of value—more than they could take away. There was so much plunder that it took three days to collect it. 26On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Berakah, where they praised the Lord. This is why it is called the Valley of Berakahto this day.

27Then, led by Jehoshaphat, all the men of Judah and Jerusalem returned joyfully to Jerusalem, for the Lord had given them cause to rejoice over their enemies. 28They entered Jerusalem and went to the temple of the Lord with harps and lyres and trumpets.

Prayer Warriors:

There are three things we can learn from his prayer:

Jehosphaphat did not know what to do, but he knew that he had to look to the Lord.He knew the God he served. The Lord said, This battle is not yours, it's mine. We need to give him the situations, our children. We say," Lord not our will but your will be done". If the Jesus said, "Not my will but your will be done father", how much more do we have to trust our father. Let your will be done!

Jehosphahat  appointed men to sing praises to the Lord. When we don't see any hope. When things seem impossible. We sing praise now, we say Lord we trust in you. You have a plan, a purpose. We know that all things work together for good of those who love God: those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

When the battle was won, there was so much plunder, it took three days to collect it.When we let the Lord fight our battles, the blessing are overflowing with mercy and grace. We our the ones that are spiritual blessed for it. 

Thank You Lord, for you are with us, who could be against us! We pray for each adult child on this list. Let your will be done and we praise you, knowing you will work it out for good. All glory and praise belongs to you.  

Put on the Full Armor of God

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.11Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Prayer Warriors:

We are in a spiritual battle for our families, the enemy is never going to stop so we can't! We need to put on the full armor daily. Be strong and courage's, because the Lord is on our side. So let's PRAY, PRAY, PRAY! The victory is ours! Thank you Jesus, it was finished on the cross!  

Our Hope is in the Lord
